EFL teacher - Oaxaca
The Universidad de la Cañada, in Teotítlan de Flores Magón, Oaxaca, is seeking an experienced EFL teacher (fulltime, tenure-track) to begin in September 2013.
Maximum 20 hours of classroom teaching (integrated skills emphasizing reading), from 2-25 students per class, basic through high intermediate levels. MA TESOL grads preferred, but will consider applicants with a bachelor’s degree who are CELTA/ TESOL or university-certified with 2+ years experience teaching ESL/EFL. Cross-cultural sensitivity and Spanish language skills required, along with word-processing skills, a basic comfort level in technology-assisted teaching, creativity, resourcefulness and experience in international living. Competitive salary is adequate to cover living expenses in rural Oaxaca; health insurance, pension. Successful candidates must pay for relocation/living expenses and working visas.
