ADOS (Assistant Director of Studies) FOR ENGLISH AND LOTE Needed
BKC-IH MOSCOW, RUSSIA. ADOS (Assistant Director of Studies) FOR ENGLISH AND LOTE needed from late August 2013.
BKC – International House - a member of the International House World Organisation, the school that has the only Cambridge/IELTS centre approved by Cambridge ESOL as well as the teacher training centre that offers CELTA/DELTA courses and also has a wide variety of workshops, seminars, courses aimed at the teachers' self-development.
JOB DESCRIPTION
ADOS DUTIES include: observing teachers and giving feedback; dealing with teachers' complaints; orientating new teachers on the school procedures and supervising during their trial period; giving seminars and workshops as part of the International House program; taking part in placing students to groups/levels; helping school admin with troubleshooting; conducting Open Doors, presentations and initiating other extra-curricular activities; working with students; queries and complaints; monitoring groups' end of level dates, tests results and group finishing dates; taking part in the process of placing teachers.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
1) QUALIFICATIONS: MA in TESOL, CELTA, Trinity TESOL, SIT TESOL, TESL Canada, ACELS CELT, IHC or any 100/120-hour in-class training equivalent.
2) EXPERIENCE: 2-year Senior Position experience (minimum) confirmed by recommendations.
We offer a 10-month contract with 40 real hours per week (9/13,5 real hours of teaching + 31/26,5 real hours of admin.work) for the starting salary of $1700 (net) per month.
The contract package consists of:
end of contract bonus - up to $1385
- multiple-entry work visa, consulate fee paid by the school
- free of charge accommodation (including all the bills, but the internet)
- airfare reimbursement
- paid holidays
-training fund
- 90% discount for Russian classes
- discount on training courses, including Cambridge DELTA course
- meeting at the airport on teacher's arrival
- health care support;
- 24 hour emergency support line
- public transport reimbursement
