We are looking for an experienced English teacher to start immediately. Experience teaching ESOL, Young Learners, IELTS and TOEFL would be a distinct advantage. An ideal candidate will be self-motivating, show initiative, maintain a professional attitude and be able to create a good rapport with the students.
The school provides a very good starting package, health insurance, flight and accommodation allowance.
New immigration requirements mean that a work-visa will NOT be issued to anyone without a relevant degree; candidates with degrees in English will be given priority. You must also be aged between 25 and 55. A TEFL certificate is also essential, as is a CV showing 5 years experience. We cannot accept anyone who is not a native English speaker.
Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements.
Due to the many applications we receive, we will only reply to shortlisted candidates.
If you would like to join our team, please send an email email@example.com, with a cover letter, CV and recent photograph. We look forward to hearing from you.
An independently owned school, CaSE has built a reputation for good education coupled with a fun and relaxed attitude. Many of our students have been here for several years and much of our business comes from word-of-mouth.
Living in Medan:
Life in North Sumatra can be challenging but also very rewarding. As a developing country, Indonesia has frequent power-cuts that are indicative of its weak infrastructure, poor roads and a large population. However, the people are friendly and curious about foreigners and it is possible to live quite comfortably here on a teacher's salary, with most of the luxuries that are taken for granted in the West. There are also some spectacular places to visit, such as Lake Toba and the Orangutan Centre in Gunung Leuser National Park. While Medan is not the most cosmopolitan of cities, it has the advantage of feeling less intimidating than some of the larger South East Asian cities- none of the multi-lane highways or towering skyscrapers and much more like a sprawling overgrown village.
