Education tools are necessary for grassroot communities and peoples earning potential. Education is one of the most powerful tools that someone can be given. Project 100 Community Development Officers will be the people spearheading community and personal development through education.
100 new centres have been funded for establishment throughout Malaysia and we require flexible, matured-minded individuals who are keen to get off the beaten track and oversee development of these centres within rural communities.
About the position:
Based in rural Malaysia
Full training provided in our total educational approach – at HQ in Kuala Lumpur
All teaching & community centre resources provided
1 year program (International opportunities for successful trainers)
Accommodation, food and visa provided
USD $500 - $600 living allowance/per month
Flight Allowance paid on completion of 1 year contract
Change makers are expected to perform the following tasks:
Planning and preparing classes and group courses.
Deliver our very successful SOLS 24/7 curriculum, with teaching materials provided.
Complete necessary reporting, including student progress and accounts
To promote the progress and well-being of every individual student
Other Activities include:
To play a leadership and managerial role in his/her community centre
To engage in the social development of the community
To help build schools and community centres
To jointly conduct community work with SOLS 24/7 as and when appropriate
To participate in formal and non-formal functions within and outside the community centre
What we need:
Clear spoken English (ideally mother tongue)
CELTA/TESOL Certification
Maturity, with a willingness to accept
Enthusiasm, cultural acceptance and sense of responsibility
Youthful approach
Preference to degree qualified candidates
Intakes 1stJune 2013 and 1stJuly 2013
