International I School Kindergarten is opening a new kindergarten in Fukuoka city from April 2013. We are looking to fill full time positions for the new school.
Hours and remuneration is not yet fully decided but will be similar to our present schoolfs conditions. (See below)
International I School Kindergarten, located in KURUME CITY, is also looking for teachers who can start working from March/April 2013.
Job Descriptions
International I School Kindergarten is located in Kurume city, Fukuoka. The students are aged between 2 and 6 and are taught in English. International gIh School Kindergarten was established in 1990. We currently have 8 native English speaking teachers on staff.
Teachers are scheduled to work 23 teaching hours per week. 10 hours are in the kindergarten and the remaining 13 hours are ESL classes (Mainly toddler, kindergarten and elementary kids classes, however there are some adult lessons). The teachers are required to work for 2 hours in the morning 2 Saturdays a month (to teach returnee students) All the kindergarten lessons are co-taught with licensed Japanese kindergarten teachers so it is not necessary for you to have a Japanese teaching license. The 10 hours in the kindergarten have a set curriculum and materials in place. However, the remaining 13 hours of ESL classes are planned for by the teachers subsequently the materials are also created by each individual teacher. (However there are pre-prepared materials at your disposal if you choose to use them)
Holidays
There are three main paid holidays;
10 ~ 14 days in summer (Completely off)
(As the kindergarten in closed for about a month, most teachers have half days of teaching during that time)
10 ~ 14 days in winter (Completely off)
If you are re-contracted, you will also have 5 ~ 7days in spring (Completely off)
Extra Requirements
As International I School is a kindergarten, there are events, such as Sports Day and Winter Presentation@that may require your attendance beyond your scheduled hours. (Usually on a weekend) These occur approximately 5 times per year.
Requirement
4 year degree / A valid drivers license or International drivers license (As we provide a company car) / Teaching license or experience (preferred)
Salary
240, 000 yen per month + Completion bonus of 120,000 yen
Accommodation
Apartments are arranged for teachers. The rent is between 35,000 yen and 50,000 yen depending on the size and the age of the apartment.
Although it may sound like a lot of responsibility, teaching at our kindergarten in incredibly rewarding and exciting experience.
If you donft mind hard work and you truly love children, then this will be the perfect job for you. However, if you donft love children and you would just like a chance to travel and experience living in Japan, then this may not be a good position for you.
