6 Experienced Native English Speaking EL Instructors Required to Teach on rhe West Coast of Saudi Arabia

TQ has been delivering training services at the Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic (SPSP) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia for the last 4 years. We deliver and assess English Language, Key Skills and Technical National Vocational Qualifications to NVQ Level 3 in the Petroleum Industry.

TQ has been asked by SPSP to supply a small teaching team to work on a 5-year contract with Petro Rabigh at the town of Rabigh which is located about 150 kms north of Jeddah on the Red Sea coast. The team will deliver English Language training to Petro Rabigh employees in a combination of long-term EL Programs based around the Saudi Aramco Apprentice Training model, as well as ESP short courses such as Report Writing, E-mail Writing, Presentational Skills and so on.

As per client specification, you must be Degree qualified for these posts and a Native English Speaker.

Qualifications:

• BA and/or MA TESOL/TEFL/ Applied Linguistics

• CELTA or equivalent recognized teaching qualification e.g. PGCE, Trinity College Certificate, Dip Ed.

• 5 years teaching experience to adults

Preference will be given to applicants with:

• Excellent communication, presentation and IT skills

• Experience teaching Arab learners

• Experience working within the Middle East

• Experience of teaching English within a technical context

Compensation:

Package: Competitive salary paid in US Dollars and End of Service Bonus.

Company transport to and from work provided and evenings/weekend transport also available on a pooling basis. There will be transport for staff to get to Jeddah at weekends and so on.

Accommodation will be in single-status studio units on the Petro Rabigh compound which is a high quality mature beach-side compound, offering a high standard of facilities and recreational opportunities.

Medical insurance, annual flight allowance plus mobilization/demobilization flights, baggage allowance covered by the company. TQ is a Pearson company and all employees have access to the Pearson share purchase scheme.

Contract Status: Open/Single Status

Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week. 5 days per week Sat to Wed, although some flexibility may be required. Not rotational. Teachers will normally teach between 4 – 5 lessons a day.

30 working days leave per annum plus Saudi Eid holidays and additional special leave periods. Normally leave amounts to 8 weeks per annum.

Start date: March 2013
