Bilingual English Instructors Required
TQ Education and Training is a leading UK education and training provider offering premium educational services to customers worldwide. TQ specialises in providing innovative solutions to the training and development needs of a diverse range of customers both in the UK and overseas.
TQ has been delivering training services at the Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic in Dammam, Saudi Arabia for the last 4 years. We deliver and assess English Language, Key Skills and Technical National Vocational Qualifications to NVQ Level 3 in the Petroleum Industry. The contract involves equipping and the setting up of the Polytechnic’s workshops, providing curriculum and accreditation to international standards and recruiting teaching and support staff to deliver the training and assessment programs, both in the training centre and also to trainees in the field.
Due to the ongoing expansion of SPSP’s programmes, TQ has been awarded a new contract to establish a vocational training college in the north-east of Saudi Arabia at Al Khafji. The new college, which will eventually grow to a capacity of 3,000 students, will offer 2-year Diploma Programs to Saudi High-School graduates leading to vocational certification at City & Guilds Level 3 in a range of specialities including welding, mechanical, pipe-fitting, electronics, and air-conditioning. TQ has been the single training provider at a similar college, Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic (SPSP) in Dammam, since 2008. The new college in Al Khafji will be closely modelled on the experience and success of SPSP.
QUALIFICATION (MUST HAVE) :
• BA English, or Masters TESOL/TEFL or Applied Linguistics
• CELTA or equivalent recognized TEFL teaching qualification
• IELTS Band 7 Certificate in-hand, or TOEFL 650 Certificate in-hand
• 5 years teaching experience
EXPERIENCES (PREFERRED):
• Excellent communication, presentation and IT skills
• Experience teaching Arab learners
• Experience working within the Middle East
• Experience of teaching English within a technical context
Package: Competitive salary paid in US Dollars
Accommodation /Transport allowance provided by the company
Medical insurance, annual flight, mobilization/demobilization flights, baggage allowance covered by the company
Contract : Open/ Single Status
Hours: 40 hours per week/ 5 days per week (Sat –Wed), flexibility may be required
Not rotational
Start date: March/April 2013
