Job Description:
American Vietnamese English center is currently hiring native English (American,Canadian,British, Australian) teachers to work in Vietnam. Group and individual sessions 5 y.o. and up.
AVC center is currently seeking full time U.S. or British certified teachers for the year of 2013. Appropriate candidates for this position will be fully credentialed and hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. They will have experience working in an international or diverse setting. They will be flexible and willing to work cooperatively in a diverse setting within AVC centers and with its partners abroad.
AVC center is affiliated with several private schools, which educate students in an international setting to prepare students for study in the U.S. The mission of each center is to meet the needs of all students while preparing them for success within the global community and equipping them to become culturally literate by developing critical thinking and communication skills. The ability to speak English and to communicate in English as a second language. In some cases to prepare Vietnamese students to pass school exams, Cambride Tests and college tests, for a trip to the US, educational summer program etc.
Position Type: Full-time/Part-time
Positions Available:3
Salary: $10 per hour & up
Housing: Provided (host family)
Airfare: Provided by AVC
Visa: Provided by AVC
Job Requirements
The candidate will:
Hold US/UK teacher certification
Bachelor's degree preferred
Have experience working in an international setting and/or with a diverse student body
Work cooperatively with AVC partners in Vietnam
Ability to travel between cities in Vietnam
Two years teaching experience preferred
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
