Summary

Are you looking for the next big step in your education and management career? Do you have proven young learner teaching experience as well as experience managing a school and training teachers?

We are seeking an Area Operations Manager who will be responsible for training and supporting primarily teaching staff and school managers over a group of centres throughout Indonesia. You will be required to ensure that the quality and quantity of educational services provided to students are of a consistently high standard by actively promoting and maintaining a culture of teamwork, collaboration and support at all times.

The Job

Essential qualities for this challenging position include strong people management skills and the ability to motivate and lead teams of international teachers as well as school Directors of Studies. A proven track record in teaching young learners, teacher training through workshops, class observations and one-on-one support are vital to this role.

The right candidate will be organized and logic in planning and implementation of new school initiatives. Excellent creativity and problem solving skills are also needed.

You will have a degree in any subject and credible TEFL qualification (preferably DELTA or equivalent) as well as a wide range of teaching experience, especially to young learners and teenage students. You will be well versed in TEFL methodology and teaching techniques and have previous management experience in an educational setting.

Main Responsibilities

-Ensure a consistently high and constantly improving level of educational service is provided

-Provide support, training, observations, feedback and coaching to Directors of Studies and teachers

-Act as an exemplary role model both as a leader and teacher

-Liaise with Center Directors, Centre Sales Managers and Partners to ensure required teacher numbers and the optimum utilization of teacher schedules are maintained in order to meet the needs of each centre’s students, sales and service

-Work with the Center Directors and service staff to address any student queries, concerns and complaints

-Ensures change management is driven through appropriate communication resulting in team buy in

-Actively works to promote and implement ongoing communication and cooperation between all departments within centres and region

-Participates in all regional and national meetings, product testing and relevant projects as required

-Undertakes all necessary human resource and administrative duties

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in any subject

-TEFL certificate (DELTA or equivalent preferred)

-At least 5 years of teaching experience and 1 year of management experience

-Candidates can be from ANY country provided they have fluent English and a clear accent
