The Institute of American Education (IAE) is founded on the principles of innovation, excellence and dedication to defining the way higher education is delivered in Vietnam.

The American Polytechnic College (VATC) is one of the oldest and largest private vocational colleges in Vietnam, offering degrees equivalent to the U.S. Associate’s Degree.

The Broward College International Center in Vietnam is the only accredited U.S. college program operating directly in Vietnam. With world-class faculty and a curriculum identical to that of Broward College in Florida, it offers students American A.S. degrees in Business and in Hospitality and Tourism as well as a pathway to continue their studies at an American four-year university.

IvyPrep, an established program in Hanoi now coming to Ho Chi Minh City, is designed to give young Vietnamese students aspiring to study in America the academic and cultural knowledge and skills they need to achieve their goal of admissions and scholarships at highly ranked American universities.

VATC English Centers have enabled more than a hundred thousand students to master English skills through high quality English as a Second Language instruction for all age groups and for corporate clients.

Job Description

IAE is seeking full-time Instructors in English as a Second Language, Test Preparation and English Literature at the following levels: Grades K-6, Grades 7-12 and College. Many instructors will work on the campus of American Polytechnic College (also site of the Broward College International Center) in District 7, or at satellite centers around Ho Chi Minh City.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field from a highly ranked international university is strongly preferred (to teach college courses, a Ph.D. is strongly preferred)

• Teaching certification

• Experience studying and teaching in the United States is strongly preferred

• Demonstrated excellence in past teaching

• Knowledge and experience of both traditional and more innovative teaching methods such as digital and multimedia approaches

• Familiarity with the principles of experiential learning

• A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with willingness to adapt to different learning styles

• Willingness to work hard inside and outside the classroom to help students achieve their goals, to collaborate with other teachers, and to support the IAE mission

• Able to work effectively in cross-cultural settings
