Volunteer English Teachers in Georgia Public Schools



Teach Away in the country of Georgia! Teach Away is now accepting applications for paid-volunteer English teaching positions throughout the country of Georgia within the public school system. Teachers will teach alongside a Georgian co-teacher, teaching English to students ranging from the primary level (Gr. 1-6) through basic (Gr. 7-9) level. Teachers will also tutor their host family in order to improve English language proficiency. Choose between a half-year or full-year contract. Teachers will stay with a Georgian host family and receive a monthly stipend for their volunteer work. Successful candidates are expected to be professional, punctual, flexible, and positive.



PROGRAM DETAILS



Location: Georgia

Subjects: English;ESL

Monthly Stipend: 500 GEL stipend (approximately $300 USD)

Program Duration: 1 semester (6-9 months) or 2 semesters (12 months); renewable

Housing: Provided

Health Insurance: Provided by employer

Airfare: Full - Airfare provided for teacher

Vacation: 24 paid holiday days for teachers on 12-month contract

Required Level of Education: Diploma

Teaching Experience Required: Experience working with young learners preferred.
