Positive and easy-going

A lot of people are looking for adventure when they think about traveling abroad, but when people arrive the stress of the process taxes a lot of people. Those who think positively and are able to relax and see the good in a situation are the ones who succeed in China. Inside the classroom a confident attitude and believe that students are capable of learning, rather than being jaded by the work to be done.

Organized and motivated

Unorganized teachers create unorganized students. We ideally want a teacher who makes efficient use of their time and moves in a planned and systematic way. This also requires enthusiasm, and an understanding of what motivates students. Sometimes a teacher may not have the best planned classes, but their enthusiasm is so infectious that students are easily caught up in it and love the class.

Experienced in the Work Force

Previous experience with children or teaching is also a huge plus, even if it’s coaching or mentoring. A TEFL certificate also shows the candidate is willing to spend money on their own professional development and that they are motivated to get into the field (rather than teaching simply being the sole available way to live into Asia).

Flexible

An applicant with a diverse workplace background can show adaptability. Not only does changing countries require adaption, but in teaching itself seldom is one day like the next. Willing to alter plans and directions is a necessity in teaching and in living abroad, especially in China where often things will change 'last-minute’ by Western standards.

Presents Well

Most parents and a lot of the students at your school will be incapable of fluent interaction with teachers. Therefore, especially at the beginning of the semester when teachers are first introduced to parents, it’s important to have teachers who can present themselves, both through appearance and a friendly attitude. A smile and a handshake or a nod of the head is really all it takes along with being neatly dressed.

Qualifications

Education: Teachers must hold at least a 4-year Bachelor’s degree

Nationality: Canadian, American, British, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia

(Candidates must be a native English speaker)

Experience: At least 2 years of work experience post bachelor’s degree

Previous ESL teaching experience preferred

Other: No criminal record

TEFL certification preferred

Benefits Package

School Location: Nanjing, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hangzhou

Type of School: Private Language School

Student Age: 3 to 15

Class size: 15 maximum

Contract Length: 12 months

Working Hours: 35 hours / week

Teaching Hours: 25-27 hours / week

Monthly Salary: ¥10,000 (includes attendance bonus, hardworking bonus, utilities subsidy)

Other Yearly Bonuses: ¥4,400 (Christmas bonus, Chinese New Year bonus, Performance bonus)

Accommodation: free and provided (single apartment, fully furnished, 5 minutes away from the school)

Contract Completion Bonus: ¥6,000

Airfare Allowance: ¥3,000

Holidays: National Holidays + 5 paid school holidays

Work Permit: z-visa and work permit provided, cost reimbursed by the school

Training: provided for free at the beginning of school year. Teachers will receive ongoing Professional Development training by the Program Manager throughout the school year.

Echo English:

Job description:

Prepare class (content, games, and video), deliver the class;

Prepare oral exams for the students.

Class size is about 30-45 students.

Working hour is 10-15 hr/week.

The job location will be in ZheJiang Province, China.

Notes: We will help you to get a Z Visa(working visa), it is illegal carrying a travelling visa come to work in China. We are one of 20 qualified organizations which can issue Z Visa in China. We will help to get residence permits and Health insurance. We provide free airport pick-up.

Also we will provide free training, Chinese Law introduction, city introduction, teaching audition.
