English Academic and Program Coordinator


Ultimate Learning Institute (ULI) is a market leader in the provision of English Speaking tuition within public and private schools in Indonesia. All ULI teachers are native speakers of English who work alongside local Indonesian English teachers with the primary focus of improving the speaking of the language. ULI teachers work with the ULI curriculum and, through highly interactive lessons, provide students with as much opportunity as possible to speak English.

The opportunity exists for an experienced Academic Coordinator to utilize their training and experience and take up a position Jakarta, Indonesia. The successful applicant will lead a team of experienced teachers and work with management to realize the exciting growth opportunities that exist in our market.

Requirements:

• US, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand passport

• Bachelors degree or higher (Majoring in English, Linguistics or Education preferred)

• Relevant Teaching qualification

• TEFL certified (English as a second language (ESL) teaching certificate)

• Minimum 5 years teaching experience (preferably including ESL teaching)

• Minimum 2 years experience in education administration and staff management

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Apps)

• Some experience in e-learning preferred, but not essential

• Age between 35 to 55 years

• Passionate, self-motivated, committed and outgoing

• Professionally presented

Job Description:

• Commence in October 2014

• Full time, 24 month contract

• Reporting to Managing Director and General Manager

• Main responsibilities:

Academic

o Prepare course materials including syllabus, examinations, other assessment material and general lesson material

• Act as a native-speaking English teacher or relief teacher as required at local Junior (12 to 14 years old), Senior (15 to 18 years old) High Schools or Corporates

o Develop and deliver teacher training

Staff Management

• Recruit suitably qualified teaching staff

• Evaluate and monitor teachers’ performance and development

• Timetable teachers into schools and other teaching contracts

• Schedule and lead regular teachers’ meetings

Administration

o Assist in the ongoing preparation and adherence to policies and procedures relevant the programs offered by ULI and general administration

o Assist the General Manager as required and assuming the role of General Manager in his/her absence

o Process improvement

Marketing

o Co-operate with the Sales Manager, General Manager and Managing Director concerning marketing and promotional activities

o Assist marketing efforts by undertaking demonstration classes
