Internship and volunteer opportunities in the Mexican States of Puebla, Quintana Roo and Yucatán (Cancún)
IELC is looking for native English speaking candidates who are enthusiastic and motivated to join our team, in teaching English classes to all school grade ages..
The IELC is a small organization focused on teaching English to children who attend to public schools, the purpose of the program is to assist in the process of integral education, and offer our students and volunteers a vibrant and enjoyable educational & service opportunity through the English and Spanish languages which will prepare them for lifelong experiences.
We offer internship and volunteer opportunities in the Mexican States of Puebla, Quintana Roo and Yucatán.The schools are located in colonial and traditional cities in the country of México.

Requirements:
-Native English Speaker.(only)
-Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
-You must hold a valid passport before to enter Mexico.
-Valid ID or Driver License.
-Have a real interest in teaching children.
-Must be able to make a semester commitment.
-Ability to work with limited resources.
-Ability to live and work in a culture vastly different than your culture of origin.
-Have a real interest in Mexico and it’s culture.
We offer to the English teachers:
-Free Spanish lessons.
-Free accommodation with a Host Families, or in an apartment.
-Free regional Trips.
-You will receive a letterhead from the school where you previously taught.
-Diploma of participation.

New teachers normally sign a 4 - 6 month contract. Accommodations are provided in the teacher’s residence, a furnished apartment near at the school or with host family. Teachers are responsible for the cost of food, utilities and personal needs, as well as transportation to and from Mexico. This is not a get - rich job, but it is a unique opportunity to visit and learn the language and culture of Mexico.
The schools have a dress code. Teachers need to present a smart appearance. Jeans, shorts, mini-skirts and flip flop sandals are not appropriate.
This is an opportunity for candidates that really want to bring their English classes to life- who want to work with a syllabus but who also want to try different activities and games in their classroom to take English teaching beyond the textbook.
