English Language Teacher Needed in Hong Kong

Hong Kong English learning centre requires a teacher for Nov / Dec start

A brand new English language centre in Hong Kong requires a teacher for Nov / Dec start. Our students range from 2-12 years old, the majority of classes being with small groups of 3-6 year olds. We teach a range of skills and linguistic classes with a flexible, communicative approach to learning. Due to the young age of most of our students, a lot of our classes incorporate phonics, basic reading and writing skills, and lexis that is often new to the students.

Requirements:

*Native English speaker

*CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL (CELTYL preferable)

*Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

*At least one year's teaching experience

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, patient and hardworking. They will see teaching as a career, and be keen to improve and build upon their existing skills. Experience teaching and planning arts and crafts classes for youngsters is a definite bonus.

The contract begins in September and lasts for twelve months, with expectation for contract extension after that. The monthly salary is HKD21,000 to 25,000 (approx. USD2,700-3,200)subject to experience. The contract consists of 5 working days per week. The two days off can be consecutive, but may not fall on the weekend. Working hours range between 9:30-6:30, approximately 30 teaching hours per week.
