Teacher of Chinese and English - in Japan
SALA Language School is seeking a teacher to fill 1 full time position teaching both Chinese and English to adult language learners in Osaka, Japan.
The Company:
Established in 2004, SALA has grown steadily and has established itself as a well respected provider of English and French to adults in Osaka. SALA has been providing Chinese language lessons since 2011 and is committed to building a Chinese department that is equal to its successful English and French Departments. SALA has 6 language schools in and around the centre of the vibrant and lively city of Osaka, the 2nd largest city in Japan and main city in western Japan. Classes at SALA are one-to-one or small group format and utilize innovative computer based software in the lesson to provide a service that is convenient and customized to the needs of the each student.
The Position:1 full time position for a teacher of Chinese and English.
Contract: 1 year with possibility of renewal
Salary: 180,000 Yen / month plus transportation and performance bonuses (salary increases based on performance)
Hours: 40 hours / week (incl. 1 weekend day)
Full visa assistance will be given. NO accommodation or assistance with airfare will be provided, although SALA can provide free accommodation for a week in central Osaka for the successful candidate upon arrival in Japan. SALA can also act as a guarantor for an apartment if required after your arrival.
The Successful Candidate:
You will preferably be fluent in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English or you will be a fluent speaker of Chinese with advanced level English. Teaching experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. You will need to be motivated and driven to succeed, as the role will require you to be involved in the sales process and to help build a successful Chinese department.
