Female English Kindergarten Teacher
(Japan, Kitami, Hokkaido)
Looking for an English Kindergarten teacher who can plan the classroom curriculum and teach English with children age 2 to 6. We also have mothers and toddler lessons age 0 to 2.
Teaching Schedule
Teachers are scheduled to work 08:00-17:00 Monday-Friday, 1h break. Some events are hold on the weekends (usually get Monday off to compensate). English teaching ours 20h approx per week. Remaining hours are for helping-playing with the kids, preparing lessons and some basic cleaning. Teaching hours vary and are agreed upon by the teachers. Must be flexible as there is only 1 foreign teacher in the Kindergarten.
The school offers:
Monthly Salary ¥250,000
Sponsor your visa and Pay holidays Summer and Christmas (5 weeks approx, flexible dates)
One year contract with the chance of renovation if both the school and the teacher agree (The school would prefer a teacher willing to stay several years).
The job will be available from the 1st of March (one month training the academic year starts the 1st of April, 2013 and ends March 31st.
Some experience teaching children is necessary, we like to teach English with songs, games and storytelling. The school has some teaching material, but you can make your own games CDs and suggest new books.
The Kindergarten hold events such as the Sports Day, Music festival, Valentines, Halloween, Christmas and the spring festival. The candidate must have a native English level and hold at least a university degree. Persons with some early childhood education are preferred. Some Japanese ability is advantageous as the staff communicates mainly in Japanese and Basic English.
