The Position:
The Academy is seeking an experienced individual for the role of English Teacher based in one of its campuses across the UAE. Reporting to the Senior Campus Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for for the delivery of modules in English language and academic skills to national students who need a solid foundation in English and academic skills which will allow students to progress to higher education. You will work in a technologically-advanced environment as part of a team of faculty members.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Essential:
§ CELTA (or equivalent) with 5 years (recent) teaching experienceorDELTA (or equivalent) + 3 years (recent) teaching experience
§ CELTA (or equivalent) qualified candidates with a degree in English Language and Literature/TESOL/Linguistics/Education/Modern Languages may be considered with only 3 years teaching experience
§ Competence in teaching and administrative IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, etc).
§ Ability to develop and update teaching material.
§ Strong record-keeping skills.
§ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
§ Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines.
§ Enthusiasm and high degree of motivation.
§ Native speaker of English
Desirable:
§ Experience of delivering ELF/EAP preferably with experience in the Gulf region.
§ Experience of working within a Virtual Learning Environment.
§ Student-centered approach
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Teaching English language and Academic Skills modules to students on the foundation programs (normal teaching load is up to 27 periods per week).
§ Assisting with module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, delivery, marketing and provision of feedback to students.
§ Contributing to the development of supplementary teaching material for modules delivered on programs.
§ Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process
§ Providing tutorial support to small groups of students
§ Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance
§ Organising, accompanying and supervising students on field trips, when required.
§ Promoting student development through the use of technology-based learning.
§ Participating in the development and organization of student projects within class, courses and programs.
§ Attending and being available to travel to any campus location for meetings, workshops, system-wide assessment and marking sessions and conferences as part of your duties.
§ Participating in student recruitment, registration, induction and placement activities.
§ Participating in cover schedule to substitute for sick colleagues.
§ Participating in campus and community events
Salary and Benefits:
The Academy offers a competitive tax-free salary, housing allowance, air fare, relocation allowance (if deployed from overseas), medical insurance, gratuity and subsidized education for your children.
Basic Salary : AED 11,000/- to AED 13,000/- per month
Housing Allowance : AED 7,000/- to AED 11,600/- per month

English Language Teachers are needed in Oman in various cities with great salary
We are recruiting English Language Lecturers for College of Applience Sciences . The selected candidates will be appointed on contractual basis for a period of one year renewable at the end of each year based on Mutual consent.
We have requirements for English Language Lecturer positions in the Government Colleges coming under the Ministry , Sultanate of Oman.
The desired candidate should be:
Qualifications (from a recognized Institution):
- MA/ M.Ed. (Applied Linguistics/TEFL/TESOL)
- BA English + Post Graduate Diploma in EFL/ESL
- B. Ed. (4 year program- TEFL/TESOL) + CELTA/DELTA
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years post degree experience in the field of teaching English Language at tertiary level.
Experience in Smart class, Multi-media and Self Access teaching is an added advantage.

u RENUMERATION PACKAGE
u Bachelors Degree holders with a two years experience in TESOL , post Professional Credential award or a TESOL/applied Linguistics Degree - US$32K ,the salary ladder will rise proportional to years of experience topping US$38K per annum for 10+ Years . Applicants without the required experience but holding adequate credentials shall be considered but for a lower Salary package.
u Graduate Degree Holders with a minimum of Two Years experience post award , start at $36K and top out at $42K with 10+years Experience under the belt.
u Doctoral Degree Holders , with 2 Years Experience will start at $42K topping at 55K with teaching / research experience in Foreign Language Learning exceeding five years .
u OTHER BENEFITS SHALL INCLUDE:
u Furnished Accommodation shall be provided with the Housing Allowance option for Males at the rate of 25% of the annual Salary.
u Comprehensive Health Insurance Cover , for males with families thee members shall be entitled to the service.
u Economy Class Air passage paid for at the initial arrival and for annual leave .Males seeking to bring family shall be entitled to three tickets for the members , too.
u All government sanctioned Public Holidays shall be paid for in full.
u Duration of the contract is 12 months , renewable with the consent of both parties. The Instructor shall be entitled to his/her annual leave after eleven months on the job .
