YBM Seoul English Village Suyu Campus 3 Month Teaching Position

Starting Date: October & November

Location: Seoul English Village Suyu Campus, Seoul, South Korea

Working Hours: Between 9:00 am ~ 6:00 pm or 12:00 pm ~ 9:00 pm. Teachers are responsible for teaching up to SEVEN 45-minute classes between one of the above working hours. Teachers will work any five days within a work week.

Salary: 2.0 ~ 2.2 million won per month (depending on teaching experiences in Korea and qualifications).

Benefits:

Single accommodation - A single studio is provided for each teacher. Couples are provided with double accommodation (If available).

Meals - Breakfast, lunch, dinner will be provided at the campus cafeteria when students are on campus.

Visa application fee - Up to 50,000 won will be reimbursed with the receipts. (For C-4 visa applicants that are currently abroad only)

Flights - Up to 450,000 won will be reimbursed with the receipts. (For C-4 visa applicants that are currently abroad only)

Students: Kindergarten, Elementary and Middle School

Curriculum: All curriculum and teaching materials will be prepared by the camp programming team. Teachers will be given lesson plans to follow and will participate in a camp orientation.

Students at Seoul English Village Suyu Camp (SEV) study English in a simulated environment through role-playing, dialogue conversation and other traditional and non-traditional teaching methods. Classrooms at SEV are customized for the immersion curricula with a simulated police station, medical center, post office, broadcasting studio, hair salon, cooking class and many more. Our regular program students stay at the Village for one week.

Applicants Must:

1. Hold a valid passport from one of the following native English speaking countries; USA, Canada, UK, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia and South Africa.

2. Have a minimum of a BA/BS degree in any field

3. Photocopy of diploma that is apostille certified.

4. Recent National criminal background check that is apostille certified. (within 6 months)

5. Must be a native speaker of English.

YBM Nowon English Village 1 Year Teaching Position

Start date: November 26th, 2014

Salary: 2.0-2.2 million won per month

Location: Nowon, Seoul

Contract Length: 1 year

This is a great position to develop one’s career while exploring the world’s second largest metropolis – Seoul, South Korea. If you are looking for a well-paid ESL position that will offer you ample time for travel, a relaxed work environment, and the ability to earn and save money at the same time, this may be the job for you!

Those who are outgoing, creative, and energetic will find themselves at home at Nowon English Village. Students at our academy study in simulated English immersion environments which aim to replicate everyday situations in a controlled manner. Classrooms at Nowon English Village are unique seeing that rooms include a police station, grocery store, restaurant, hotel, airplane, hospital, and shopping mall amongst others.

Teachers generally work five days per week and teach an average of six, forty minute classes per day. A typical workday consists of English immersion classes in the morning (10:00am-1:00pm), a lunch break, and afternoon classes (3:30pm-6:25pm). We instruct both kindergarten and elementary-aged children. Teachers usually have planning or free periods in between classes during which they may catch their breath or prepare for upcoming classes.

We offer:

1. Free housing, utilities, and internet at Seoul English Village. Teachers are also offered free transit to and from work.

2. Two free meals per day and a stipend for dinner.

3. A prepaid, one-way ticket to Korea and another ticket to be purchased upon completion of one’s contract.

4. Fifteen paid vacation days per year. If a teacher is asked to teach on a National holiday, they will be paid a holiday bonus of 50,000 won.

5. Paid orientation and training

6. Additional severance pay (one month’s salary) upon completion of 1 year contract

7. A one-time relocation allowance

8. A visa fee subsidy to aid in the cost of obtaining the documents needed to come to Korea.

In order to be granted a Visa as an ESL Instructor, you must be a native speaker and have:

1. BA/BS degree (in any field)

2. Valid passport from the USA, Canada, the UK, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, or South Africa

3. Photocopy of a diploma with apostille

4. Federal police/criminal background check with apostille

5. Self assessed health statement which must be accurate and truthful. A medical check at a designated hospital is required upon arrival in Korea. Teachers may be deported if their self assessment is found to be inaccurate or dishonest.

Although not required, a TEFL certificate or teaching experience helps.
