Teaching in Istanbul, Turkey provides teachers a wonderful opportunity to live and work in the "cradle of civilization" and experience the fusion of the East and the West.

As one of Teach to Travel’s main destinations, Turkey is now hiring for the September 2014 positions in Istanbul, Turkey. In collaboration with Teachers in Turkey, we have 150 positions based in private kindergarten, primary and middle schools on both the European and Asian parts of Istanbul. The positions are for 10 months, with a 500TL signing bonus paid after one month's work and 2000TL bonus paid at the end of the school year. 1.) For Male and Female Teachers

Job Specification:

Location: Istanbul (European and Asian sides)

Age Group: Primary and Middle School

Start Date: (September 2014, flexible depending on work visa completion)

Students per class: 10-25

Hours Per Week: 30

Days Taught: M-F

Salary: 2350 TRY to 2800 depending on degree, experience and qualifications, Net of Tax

Visa: Residency and Work Permits provided

Bonus: 500TL signing bonus paid after one month's work ; 2000TL paid on completion of the contract;

Accommodation: Assistance offered in finding, no financial assistance provided

Flights: Not Provided

Teachers will be offered roles depending on their experience and qualifications. It is custom to offer the more experience teachers a role with older students. Kindergarten roles are specifically allocated to female teachers.

Others: Free Turkish Lessons for teachers placed in Istanbul and Free Museum cards for all teachers in Turkey

2.) For Female Teachers Only

Job Specification:

Location: Istanbul and Izmir

Age Group: Kindergarten

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: June, 2015

Students per class: 10-25

Hours Per Week: 30

Days Taught: M-F

Salary: 2350-3000 TL depending on experience and qualifications, Net of Tax

Visa: Residency and Work Permits provided

Bonus: 500TL signing bonus after one month's work and 2000TL paid on completion of the contract

Accommodation: Assistance offered in finding, no financial assistance provided

Flights: Not Provided

Others: Free Turkish Lessons for teachers placed in Istanbul and Free Museum cards for all teachers in Turkey

Criteria:

1) Teachers must have a bachelor's degree in any subject

2) Teachers should have a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA qualification, or the equivalent

3) Teachers can be male or female; 21-45 years of age

4) Teachers should be native English speakers
