Highly Motivated and Professional English Teachers Needed
Language Link Vietnam (LLV) is looking for highly motivated and professional English teachers to teach on the Schools Link Programme and in our own language centres.
The Schools Link Programme offers English Language courses specially designed for Primary and Secondary school students aged from 6 to 16 years old, and is taught in accordance with the Common European Framework and Cambridge University guidelines. The programme has been successfully running for 4 years in both government and private schools in Hanoi.
The program aims to introduce internationally qualified English teachers into Hanoi schools and all courses are run in cooperation with the Department of Education and Training. It provides an excellent preparation for students wanting to study for the Cambridge ESOL Certificate.
The positions will be full-time for 12 month contracts, starting September 2012. Teachers will be required to teach no more than 25 hours per week, and classes will be held either at local Vietnamese schools or at LLV language centres.
Teachers will receive initial induction training and on-going professional development sessions throughout the year.
Qualifications:
• University degree
• An English Language Teaching qualification (CELTA or equivalent)
• A clean police check document or UK CRB check
• Native English speaker
• Experience of working with young learners
• Ability to design and deliver fun, creative and communicative lessons
• Ability to prepare work independently
• Proven ability to build rapport with school staff, teachers, teaching assistants and administrators in a locally controlled environment.
• Maintain administrative records as required
Please note that for the Work Permit application, the original copies of the Degree Certificate, TEFL Certificate and Police Check are required.Compensation:
Compensation:
Hourly remuneration: $20-$24 gross per hour (plus $4 per hour offsite supplement for working at the local Vietnamese schools. This supplement may rise to $6 per hour if the school is more than 6kms away from the nearest LLV language centre).
Additional benefits include:
• A total of twenty (20) days paid annual leave.
• A total of ten (10) paid National Holidays.
• Full Inpatient & Emergency Evacuation Medical Insurance coverage with Liberty Insurance.
• Vietnamese state health insurance membership.
• Full assistance with visa and work permit (in country upon arrival & within contract period only).
• Performance related completion bonus of $700 net.
• Severance payment on leaving LLV of ½ month’s salary per continuous year worked
• Up to $600 net flight allowance payable with receipt upon contract completion.
• Airport pickup & up to 10 days initial accommodation upon arrival in a hotel arranged by LLV.
