Female Programme Leader - English for Academic Purposes (English Language Development Programme)- Prestigious International University for women - Saudi Arabia
Primary objective of the position:
The Programme Leader, together with the Lead Teachers and English Teachers will provide educational support to the Academic Director as part of the Senior Academic structure and team.
All applicants should have one or a combination of the following:
Masters in TESOL, CELTA
And preferably:
A postgraduate qualification (Masters) in either second language teaching or English language teaching or Applied Linguistics.
Minimum of 5 years' experience (including off shore experience) of teaching English as a second language, along with a sound knowledge of education principles in a TESOL environment.
Management experience in large organisation EAP teaching experience.
Teacher Training experience including TKT.
Demonstrated skills in specialist teaching areas e.g.
Trinity, Cambridge courses, CELTA and IELTS.
A student focused approach to teaching activities and an overall client©\centred approach.
Curriculum development skills.
Demonstrated skills in curriculum development in a previous position.
Experience of working with ESOL teachers in a leadership capacity to create a positive working environment to achieve high performance.
Experience with quality assurance systems.
Demonstrated strong organisational and administrative abilities with a high level of computer skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Experience in resolving performance issues with academic staff.
Experience in the selection and appointment of teaching staff.
Experience in budget preparation and control.
Due to Saudi law regarding gender, female teachers can teach in girls' schools/universities and male teachers teach in boys' schools/universities.
About the University:
This university is one of the most prestigious in Saudi Arabia, is well resourced and is set on beautiful grounds. The accommodation block is also set within the university and successful candidates will be offered one of these new, beautifully furnished apartments.
