Female Academic Director - ELDP English Language Development Programme - Prestigious International University for women - Saudi Arabia
A brief description of the ideal candidate:
The Academic Director will provide overall leadership, vision, strategy and accountability for the English Language Development Programme. The primary focus of this role is to ensure optimal outcomes for all stakeholders involved in English language, within this programme.
All applicants should have one or a combination of the following:
A post-graduate qualification in Education Management. A degree in Language Teaching or Applied Linguistics with a internationally recognised teaching qualification in English
language teaching, i.e. CELTA or Trinity.2 years of teaching experience
And preferably:
A Master's degree in either TESOL or Applied Linguistics.
PhD
EAP Experience
More than 5 years' experience in strategic planning, development, evaluation and delivery of programmes.
Management experience of developing and running large teams, managing budgets, project management.
Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Sound business acumen and ability to analyse risk
EAP teaching experience
Experience of working in the Middle East.
Due to Saudi law regarding gender, female teachers can teach in girls' schools universities and male teachers teach in boys' schools/universities.
About the University.
This university is one of the most prestigious in Saudi Arabia, is well resourced and is set on beautiful grounds. The accommodation block is also set within the university and successful candidates will be offered one of these new, beautifully furnished apartments.
