Curriculum: EFL (English as a Foreign Language), collaborating-teaching involved
Contract Period: September 2012 – July 2013, renewable
Monthly salary: Bachelor $ 60890 NTD (around $2083 USD) Master $67925
Monthly costs of living (food, rent, transportation, etc.) in Taiwan is around $700-900 USD, depends on how one spend money
Monthly housing subsidy: $ 5000 NTD (around $170 USD) & another $5000 for one family member
General rent is around $6000-12000NTD (around $200-400 USD)
Airfare reimbursement: $ 40000 NTD (around $1339 USD) & another $40000 for one family member
Performance bonus: Around $50000-6000, by proportion of actual working months
Paid vacation - winter vacation
Labor and health insurance – Available
Working hour: Mon-Fri 8am-4:00pm, 21-23 class weekly,
40-50 min per class (vary in accordance with school)
Note:
TAX: According to the current regulation for foreign tax payers, the tax rate of the first 183 days in one taxable year is 18%. The tax rate would drop lower to around 6% after the completion of 183 days in one taxable year. Foreign tax payers would be eligible for tax refund when their overall stay is over 183 days in one taxable year.
