EPIK (English Program in Korea) Program hires twice a year in September and March. The next application will be hiring for teachers for Feb.-March 2015. EPIK is a valuable career opportunity for those individuals who are seeking a personal, professional and educational experience in Korea. As a government program developed and administered by the Korean Ministry of Education, EPIK invites native English speaking teachers to encourage cross cultural exchanges while strengthening foreign language education in public schools. Since the inception of the program in 1995, over ten thousand guest English teachers have successfully completed their duties, gained professional experiences that offered not only career fulfillment but personal enrichment and returned home as cultural ambassadors.
Regions
EPIK provides teaching opportunities in 15 metropolitan cities and provinces in Korea.
Specific locations vary each term. Currently, they DO NOT hire for Gyeonggi and Jeonnam provinces. Areas included are Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, Ulsan, Sejong cities. The provinces included are Gangwon, Chungbuk, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island.
- Job Description
1. Duration: 1 year from March 1st, 2015-Feb. 28th 2016
2. Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 16:30pm (22classes per week)
3. Monthly Pay: 2.0~2.7 million KRW
4. Teaching Location:
- Metropolitan City: Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Incheon, Gwangju, Daejeon, Ulsan, Sejong
- Province: Gangwon, Chungbuk, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Jeju
5. Benefits:
- 300,000 KRW Settlement Allowance
- Free Furnished Housing
- Severance Pay(Approximately one month's salary)
- 1,300,000 KRW Entrance Allowance
- 2,000,000 KRW Renewal Allowance

- Guidelines for Applicants
1. Eligibility:
- Be a citizen of a country where English is the primary language
(One of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New
Zealand, United Kingdom, United Stated or South Africa)
- Be a maximum of 62 years of age
- Should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline and one of the following:
Teacher's license / TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate / Master's degree in any discipline /
1 year full time teaching experience
OR Bachelor's degree in Education, English or Linguistics
