English Teachers Needed

We are looking for additional new blood to join our growing team of language specialists, dedicated to furthering the use of the English language in the world and supported by the use of cutting edge technology, proven methodology and teacher support with a human touch.



CREF established in 1995 as a Multilanguage Educational Centre (based in the Centre of Moscow, Russia), has been successfully offering lesson to both corporate and private individuals for more than 17 years. (http://www.cref.ru)



We are now looking for dedicated and specialised teachers for the forth coming academic year, with start dates both for September and October, 2012



Child Development Specialists (3- 4 positions)

• To teach Cambridge based English language courses for children - individuals and group (from 3 – 8 in size). Groups are divided into 6-8yrs, 9-11yrs and 12–17yrs with full range of levels from Beginner to Advanced.

• To have knowledge of YLT, KET, PET and FCE

• To be professional and present excellent classroom management skills

• To have at least 2 years previous experience working with children



Additionally you may be required to teach young adults in CREF and, dependant on scheduling, may be required to teach English to business clients in the centre of Moscow.



Business Language Support Specialists (2-3 positions)

• To teach not only general English skills, but also business English and ideally with a specialism background in a specific English skill e.g. Business writing, Presentations in English, etc.

• To have at least 3 years English teaching experience

• To ideally have at least 5 years business working experience in a multi-national company or business specialist

• To ideally have a TEFL certificate with Business (though not essential)

• T have knowledge of any of the following: FCE, CAE, ILETS, BULATS, TOEIC, and TOEFL



Additionally you may be required to teach young adults in CREF and, dependant on scheduling



Language Teacher Trainees (1-2 positions)

We are also interested in recruiting newly qualified teacher with no previous experience to enter our career development program.



For all positions listed above you will be required to work up to a maximum of 105 hours (140 academic hours) a month, with a guaranteed salaried pay of 80 hours (107 academic hours) a month, with the additional 25 hours (if worked) being paid as a bonus each month. This is equivalent to a minimum of 19 hours (25 academic hours) per week to a maximum of 25 hours (37 academic hours) per week for a 5 day working week.



Although CREF has no strict dress code, all Teachers working for us are expected to dress appropriate to the environment in which they will be working with the minimum requirement being ‘smart casual’.



The school is currently open 6 days a week (Monday – Saturday), but you may be asked to voluntarily work on Sundays as we continue to expand our operations. However, CREF operates a strict 5 day working week with 2 days off.



Contracts are for a period of 12 months from start date, following initial acceptance.



You will be expected to work a maximum of 105 actual hours (80 hours are guaranteed salaried pay with a requirement to work up to a maximum of 25 additional hours which will be paid as a bonus if worked) per month. This is equivalent to a maximum of 25 actual hours per week (37 academic hours) for a 5 day working week.

• For suitably qualified Teachers a minimum guaranteed salary of 54,000 RUR [$1690/€1310] a month will be paid, rising to 71,500 RUR [$2235/€1820]

• For Trainee teachers, we are prepared to offer a minimum guaranteed salary of 44,000 RUR [$1375/ €1075] a month, rising to 60,250 RUR [$1885/ €1470].

If you wish us to arrange accommodation (for which you will be legally liable), we would reduce the basic guaranteed salary by 20,000 RUR. Please note that this accommodation would be in shared accommodation only and not open to negotiation or refusal.



Essential Additional Requirements

• Highly proficient in the English language

• Hold a recognised University degree (with official apostil).

• Must be born a native English speaker – citizenship only is not sufficient

• Hold a valid Passport with 6 blank pages.

• Have a recognised CELTA, TEFL I or TEFL Q or equivalent qualification.

• Be available to answer additional questions and be prepared to have an interview via Skype.



In addition, upon successful Contract completion, we guarantee to pay a terminal bonus (payment even upon renewal) all teachers with an additional bonus of 27,000 roubles.
