Requirements:

Speak English fluently

Possess a University Degree, College Diploma, or Associates Degree in any discipline. Those without degrees but have at least two years of college can also apply.

Nationalities: American, Australian, British, Canadian, Irish, New Zealander, and South African residents are preferred but not required.

Be in good mental and physical health

Must be able to complete a background check

A teaching certificate or ESL certification is preferred, but not required

No experience required

Contract Length:

One semester or two semesters (your choice)

Elementary school age – grades 1-6

Salary/Benefits:

A monthly stipend of 500 Georgian Lari (approximately $300 USD) * 500 Georgian Lari is higher than the average local salary.

Monday-Friday 30 hours a week

Duties:

TLG Volunteers will be co-teaching with a Local English Teacher in the classroom. They will be teaching primary school (grades 1 through 6). Volunteer's primary responsibilities are to assist with speaking and listening lessons, although each Volunteer will be responsible for determining his/her working relationship with their Georgian co-teacher.
