Full-time English Teaching Position

Oxford Language Center is a multicultural academy that has been providing language services for almost a decade in various locations in Guatemala. We focus on small group classes in which students can have the chance to ask questions and practice the language not only with their teacher but also with each other. We strive to create a sense of belonging in each of our classrooms and encourage our teachers to share their culture with students.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

1. Position: Full-time English Teacher

2. Contract: 6 month renewable contract

3. 20- 25 teaching hours per week

4. Five and a half day work weeks (Sundays off)

5. Salary: Q4, 500-5,500 per month (USD 550-650)

6. Location: Guatemala City

JOB REQUIREMENTS

(A) Necessary Requirements

1. Native English speaker

2. Bachelor's degree

3. Positive, flexible, hardworking, self-motivated and disciplined

4. Enjoys teaching a wide range of levels and ages

(B) Preferred Requirements

1. Is able to plan enjoyable, quality lessons for a variety of class types

2. Has experience living overseas for 6 months or more
