Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Director of Studies
at a language centre in Spain
This language centre situates one minute from the beach and a short walk to the town centre. It was established almost 15 years ago and has grown considerably since then, with approximately 500 children and several adult student groups learning English. The students are all Spanish. The centre currently has 14 teachers as well as two ADOS’s, all of whom are native English speakers. The centre is a registered Trinity College London centre which also offers Cambridge certificates.
This centre has built up an excellent reputation and this has been passed on by word of mouth.
They are one of the best Trinity centres, achieving results of approximately 90-93% in written exams and 97% in orals for the past three years.
As the Director of Studies it will be your responsibility for the efficient running of the centre along with the support of an Assistant Director of Studies. Your duties will include: Planning & staging course content / designing & developing course materials / administration duties / recruitment & staff training / staff & student supervision / preparing, setting, marking & evaluating the end of term exams / writing reports / preparing & administering placement tests for new students / substitute teaching when required / ensuring a steady rise in overall income where possible / dealing with complaints, enquiries, queries & incidents efficiently & conscientiously / preparing bills & estimates for clients as required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Native English speakers only
• Nationals of the UK ONLY
• Aged 35- 55 years
• Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience post qualification
• Minimum of 2 years as a Director Of Studies
• Bachelor’s degree (all subjects accepted)
• DELTA
REMUNERATION PACKAGE:
• Salary 24,000 Euros per annum + end of contract bonus
• 2 year renewable contract
• National social security paid
• Return air fare
• One month paid holiday + public holidays
