Language Lab Coordinator - I.T. with ESL experience Jeddah/Madinah

JOB DETAILS:

Title: Language Laboratory Information and Communications Technology Coordinator

Anticipated Start Date: April/May 2012

Appointment Type: Temporary Renewable Appointment

Locations: Mining Facility near Madinah, Saudi Arabia

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: University degree or certification in information technology or related field. Native or near-native fluency in the English language; at least one year I.T. experience; familiarity with ESL teaching methods; proven ability to work as part of a team; evidence of recent/continuing professional development; ability to work with students who have little or no experience with the English language

Preferred: English as a Foreign Language teaching experience, several years professional working experience in Saudi Arabia or abroad. Special expertise in working with true beginners. Ability to substitute teach when required. Willingness to live in a compound far away from a city. Local candidates are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Direct and supervise students while they are doing their English language assignments in the lab
- Monitor students’ attendance, behavior and performance in the lab
- Help students in case of English language or technical difficulties
- Cover main EFL teachers during any sickness periods by carrying out planned lessons. - Prepare status and progress reports about each student and share them with the instructor on a regular basis

COMPENSATION:

8000SR to 11000SR per month commensurate with qualifications and experience

Transportation from work-site to Jeddah every weekend or transportation allowance

On-site housing and meals are provided without charge
