Magong is a small seaside city where you can find almost everything you need. Locals are relaxed and friendly and it's a great place to immerse yourself in Taiwanese culture & language. Penghu's pristine beaches and rocky coasts are fit for snorkeling, windsurfing, fishing, diving and more. Penghu is a small and somewhat isolated place so the lifestyle suits someone who is outgoing and independent. There are few foreigners here and if you need to live somewhere with a lot of expats and bars, Penghu is not the place.

The position:
1 year contract
ARC provided
Salary NTD550-600 per hour
20 guaranteed teaching hours per week with more in the future
No set office hours - prepare lessons in your own time
Working hours generally fall between 2pm-8:30pm Monday - Friday
Paid Holidays include Chinese New Year + other national public holidays
Accommodation at school or help to find outside accommodation
Teachers Need:
a Bachelors degree from a recognized University
a passport from either US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa
experience working with young people a professional attitude and open mind
The school environment is friendly and welcoming. There are 4 Taiwanese English teachers and 2 foreign teachers. We have a well developed curriculum that aims to cover not only speaking and listening but also reading and writing.
We are looking for a friendly, co-operative, flexible teacher who has the ability to teach a variety of ages. The job requires a strong commitment to the school and students and we expect our teachers to go the extra mile, while hoping we can offer them an enjoyable place to work and grow as a teacher.
