Licensed or non-licensed Teachers needed for the new school year starting August

***We need Qualified Native English teachers with the following qualifications:

1. Be a licensed teacher in English-speaking nations. For non-licensed teachers,

they need to have TESOL /TEFL certificates.

2. An education-related BA or MA degree is preferred.

3. Solid teaching background is favorable.

Job details:

1.Schooladdress? Taiwan (in Hsinchu County - 10-minute walking distance to Hsinchu Station of Taiwan High Speed Rail Station (THSR)

2.Available? August 2012

3.Numbers of foreign teachers at school?

Approx 40 foreign teachers this year.

4.Student age?

Depend on campus.

Elementary & Junior High

Age 6~15

Kindergarten

Age 3~6

5.Class size?

Depend on age. Max 30 students per class. Average 25~28. (elementary& Junior High)

6.Teaching hours?

20 teaching hours in a 40 working hour week.

Each teacher teach 28 periods, each period is 40 minutes long.

7.Saturday class?

None, unless school functions eg Sports day or Graduation.

8.Description of accommodation? Discounted furnished accommodation near school.

9.Salaryrange? NT$ 65, 000+/month for a non-licensed teacher, NT$ 70,000+/month for a state licensed teacher.

10.Healthinsurance coverage?

Government regular Health Insurance scheme.Extensive coverage on medical bills. Teachers pay around $1300 ~$1400 NTD per month, (around $40~$50 USD/month)

11. Round trip air ticket?

Licence teachers have $15000 NTD ticket allowance first year with satisfactory performance or above. Second year $20000NTD. No allowance for non-licensed teachers.

12.Vacation (no. of paid vacation days per year)?

10 work days ( about half of the month upon completing the contract) for Licensed teachers.

7 working days for non-Licensed teachers.
