Teach English at Summer Camps in Italy!
ACLE is a non-profit organisation based in Italy which primarily deals with teaching English through drama, games, music, sport and art activities to make learning English more interesting and enjoyable to children. We are officially accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education and have been running Summer Camps for 28 years, as well as being the first association in Italy to teach English using Theatre in Education through our theatre company, "Theatrino". Each year we run over 300 camps throughout the whole of Italy, including the Dolomites, Rome, Milan, Naples, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Verona, Siena, Sicily and Sardinia to name a few.
ACLE hire over 700 native English speakers from around the world each year to teach English through games, song, sport and drama at our camps and we are currently hiring tutors for Summer 2012. Italian Language skills are not necessary! No official training is required but experience of working with children is preferred. ACLE provides an Introductory TEFL certificate, accommodation, lodging, transport to camps, insurance whilst at camp, and tutors receive a weekly wage of €225.
ACLE requires tutors who are native English speakers with no strong regional accent and we suggest an age bracket of 20-30 due to the nature of the job. Tutors need to be independent yet able to work in a team environment, be enthusiastic and energetic and most importantly love working with children.
Tutors are required to attend a 5-day Introductory TEFL course in San Remo or Paestum, during which we will teach our methods and provide tutors with materials and a wealth of information to take with them to our camps. The start dates are 28th May, 4th June, 11th June, 18th June and 20th August. Before applying, please be aware that all tutors are required to attend one of these weeks, even with a previous TEFL qualification. The orientation fee is €200 and covers full board and lodging and the orientation course.
