Exciting opportunity for enthusiastic credential teachers: Private school K-9 in seaport city, northern Taiwan, only 30 min. away from Taipei City! (SURFING NEARBY!)
Monthly pay: 60000-65000NT to start, raises available
Monthly attendance bonus: 1000NT
Annual performance bonus: Up to one month’s salary
(Approx 29NT = 1US)
Contract length: Until end of June, max 10 months (July-August are optional summer months)
Working hours: 920am to 540pm, Monday to Friday, with one hour lunch break
Chinese co-teacher assistance: Available
Curriculum: Provided, with strong emphasis on grammar
Class size: around 30 students
Class period: 40 min. long
Meals: Free lunch
Dorm: Free teacher dorm, furnished, single room, available
About the position:
You will be teaching English to elementary school aged students in a bilingual program. You will have one class of lower level (G1-G3), and one class of upper level (G4-G6). You will have a morning block shift for prepping, marking, talking to students during office hours, and writing communication books. Then, in the afternoons, you will have a block shift for all of your teaching.
Qualifications:
Native speaker of English
Professional with valid teaching certificate or permanent Taiwan resident status
Zeal for educating young children
Energetic and outgoing personality
Ready to commit for one-year contract
Teamwork spirit
Flexible and excited about learning another culture
Clear diction and good classroom management skills
Age between 23-35
Females preferred
