Native English Teacher

NEOLING INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH CENTER is located in Vinh city, Nghe An Province. It is a relatively small city with a definite Vietnamese charm to it. There is a choice of beautiful beaches and natural resorts which are only 20 kilometers from the center of the city. We have recently moved campus and have upgraded the facilities to make them one of the best in the city. We are a busy school and have a wide range of students, ranging from grade 3 to grade 11. We also teach University students as well as having some contracts with businesses in the city. The classrooms are extremely well equipped. The city’s lifestyle is fairly peaceful and quiet and would make you feel comfortable and relaxed. It is also very convenient to travel between Vinh and big cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City by bus, train or airplane. The city has a small airport which has regular routes to the larger cities. There is also a bus station which has buses going to the majority of places around Vietnam. Travelling within the city is relatively easy. The school will provide you with a bicycle and helmet and you are free to travel wherever you want. Crossing from one side of the city to the other side, by bike, should take no more that one hour. Travelling from the accommodation to work is a small journey. By bicycle it is around 10 minutes.

Neoling’s teaching staff is predominantly made up of Vietnamese teachers. Currently we have one native English teacher. The teachers are best known for their academic professionalism, and the school's service team is highly appreciated by the students as well as parents for their dedicated and effective consultancy and assistance.

Currently we have one post to fill. It is a full time post with two clearly specified duties. We would like applicants who have the intention to stay here for more than 6 months (minimum contract period). Experience in a similar job and culture are advantageous however, not necessary.

2. Duties and Responsibilities:

-1: Teach English to young learners (6 to 15 years old).
-2: Teach Advanced English and IELTS

3. Salary and Taxes:
Salary can be paid per hour or per month due to the agreement between NEOLING and the teacher, and will be discussed further in the interview.
Note: Salary is determined based on qualifications and teaching experience, and can be negotiated for changes upon request or practical situations (due to changes of working hours or inflation, for instance) during the contract time. Personal Income Tax is covered by NEOLING, insurances are not.

• 12 days off for annual leave, and all national holidays, (excluding weekly days off, 1 day for Vietnam’s Teachers Day, 2 days off for Christmas, 7 days off for Tet). All are fully paid if your salary is monthly net.

5. Hours of Work:
• 6 working days per week, 24 hours teaching in class per week at most, and not exceeding 6 hours teaching in class per day.
• 4 hours working in office per week (assisting to the students, teachers and/or preparing lesson plans).
• The Employee is required to participate in education enhancement activities guided or organized by the Company once a week, or to organize education enhancement activities if they are assigned and oriented by the Company, within an agreed number of hours per week.

6. Requirements and Qualifications
- Native English speaking teachers.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in social studies, preferably in Kindergarten education, English language or English literature.
- English teaching degree or certificate (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA or equivalent) is a must.
- Having experience in designing and organizing studying enhancement activities (outdoor activities) is preferred.
- Having love for the kids and experienced in kindergarten education is preferred (Post 1).
