Kindergarten Teaching Positions in
International I School Kindergarten will be looking for new energetic and motivated teachers beginning in March/April 2012.
Information
International I School Kindergarten located in Kurume city, Fukuoka, Japan. The students are aged between 2 and 6 and are taught in English. International I School Kindergarten was established in 1990. We currently have 8 English teachers on staff.
Teaching Schedule
Teachers are scheduled to work 23 contact hours per week. 10 hours are in the kindergarten and remaining hours are ESL classes. (Mainly toddler, kindergarten, elementary kids classes)
All the kindergarten lessons are co-taught with licensed Japanese kindergarten teachers so it is not necessary for you to have a Japanese teaching license.
Lessons are conducted in English so it is not necessary to speak Japanese. The Japanese teachers or the staff will translate to the kids if it is necessary.
Working Visa
In order for us to sponsor you a working visa, you are require to have a 4 year degree.
Drivers License
As teachers are expected to teach in locations other than the kindergarten, a car is provided. It is necessary for you to have a valid International drivers license.
Salary
The salary is 240,000 yen/month and there is a completion bonus of 120,000 after the first year.
Apartments
Apartments are arranged for teachers. The rent is between 35,000 yen and 50, 000 yen depending on the size and the age of the apartment.
Paid Holidays
There are 10 days to 2 weeks holiday in August. The New Year holiday is also 10 days to 2 weeks. There is 1 week holiday in March if you will stay another school year.
As August is a summer holiday for kindergarten, the morning classes are off for a month. However you still have your ESL classes to teach in the afternoon.
Insurance
Japan has a national health care system.
The first year of staying Japan, you are expected to pay approximately 2,000 yen per month. The company will pay half of the cost of the insurance.
