Native English Speaking Teachers (TEYL)
InterLingua School of Foreign Languages has been in operation since 2002. It is a modern and well – equipped school located in the City of Belgorod 400 miles to the south of Moscow with a population of about 450 000. In this short time it has already gained a strong reputation for high quality language training with customer- tailored courses focusing on community needs and interests.
The key objective of the school is the promotion of foreign language learning in the community. A wide range of different programmes and services are offered to meet the requirements of all interested parties.
The school has 2 premises, both of a medium size: small enough to provide a friendly atmosphere and individual approach, but large enough to have excellent facilities, language learning resources and a staff of highly qualified professional teachers. This year the number of our students has come over 1000!!!
The interactive approach and use of up – to –date creative teaching methods together with authentic teaching materials and a realistic environment guarantee that one will make maximum progress – no matter how brief a course one takes.
The School has a large resource centre that contains a lot of original teaching materials, course books, grammar reference books, activity books, etc.
InterLingua has varied language programmes: for kids, teenagers and adult students that have focus both on age and interests.
All Interlingua teachers are highly experienced and have TKT certificates. Many of them have been trained abroad and are familiar with cross – cultural problems. The school has strong connections with language schools abroad (Great Britain, Malta, Cyprus, USA, Ireland) and constantly arranges educational programmes for students who wish to study there. Visiting native speakers – professional teachers work at the school during the academic year.
For visiting teachers we offer $ 1500 a month (take –home money) for 28 periods per week (1 period is 45 minutes) that is more than sufficient for a comfortable life in Belgorod.
The major requirements are:
- Certificate of teaching English for Young Learners
- 3-5 years experience of teaching English for kids
- Know of teaching methodology
- Use of interactive approach
- British citizenship
On the top of that there’s free accommodation. We offer a shared apartment with a separate bedroom and a common living room in a block of flats not too far away from our school. There’s central heating, cold & hot water, TV (+ cable channels), fridge, washing machine and phone (teachers have to pay only for long distance calls). The lodgings are situated right in the city centre with easy access to different cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
The duration of a teaching contract is 1 or 2 semesters (3 or 7 months) with a regular salary each month. Furthermore, we provide healthcare, except for major dental work & operations connected with permanent conditions. We are also willing to refund your air fare, if you decide to come. We will also arrange an invitation and give you any other possible support.
