EFL Teachers Needed in Moscow and Abakan
Windsor English Language School is looking for EFL teachers for the following positions:
1) EFL teaching position in Moscow starting in January 2012
Windsor provides a range of general and specialized courses to students and professionals. In addition to general English, our school provides IELTS preparation and ESP courses in finance, law, medicine and IT. Along with this, we have Content-based courses in Business and PR and English Club.
IELTS is the world’s leading test of English for higher education and migration. Over one million people take IELTS every year, and this number is growing rapidly. More than 6,000 universities, government bodies and professional organizations accept IELTS scores. There is a growing demand for IELTS preparation services in our school, which will give you an opportunity to develop as an IELTS teacher. If you have an experience of teaching IELTS, you can apply for a position of IELTS examiner which will be a great step in your career.
2) EFL teacher in Moscow (8 months) + 4 months teaching in a family in Abakan (South Siberia) starting in February 2012
If you would like to have a unique Russian experience both inside and outside of the metropolis of Moscow, this position is best for you.
Abakan is the capital of the Republic of Khakasia, 4218 kms east of Moscow. It is situated at the confluence of the rivers Abakan and Yenisei. The climate is distinctly continental. Average temperatures in January vary from 15 to 21 degrees centigrade below zero, in July 17-25 degrees centigrade.
A great number of tourists visit Khakasia every year, attracted by its history and pristine nature. Khakasia is called the Siberian Switzerland. Its ski resorts offer good service and have different slopes for all levels of ability.
We need a teacher who can work independently and teach different age groups starting from 5-year-olds up to teenagers and some adults. She will live with a family in the countryside (ecological area), teaching a 5-year old child (Pre-intermediate level of spoken English), one-to-ones and/or mini-groups and teaching by Skype.
Qualifications (for both positions):
* Candidates be natives from the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand
* Hold a College/University Bachelor's Degree or higher
* Hold a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (The Cambridge CELTA, the Trinity College London TESOL etc)
* Between 1 and 2 years' EFL teaching experience in Europe.
Compensation:
* 9/12 month contract with full academic support.
* Full in-house academic support
* A teacher's monthly salary from 30000 rubles (approx $ 1000) for 26 academic hours a week (whereas in most Moscow schools there are 30). There is a possibility to have some extra hours for attractive remuneration: if you take 4 - 6 extra hours a week you will make 500-600 USD per month.
Your disposable income will have to take into account international phone bills and groceries but the school provides the following free of charge:
* Good quality shared accommodation
* Utility bills
* Visa (all costs)
* Health insurance
* Travel allowance
* On stream monthly travel card
* Bonus
