E-Moderator - Malaysia

Start Date: June 2015

Prime Teachers has an exciting new position, working on behalf of our client who works in partnership with the Malaysian government in order to raise standards of the teaching and learning of English in Malaysian schools.

Successful candidates will be up-skilling and training Malaysian primary and secondary school teachers and liaise closely with assigned trainer(s) to ensure a seamless delivery of both the face-to-face and online language training to ensure e-moderation meets learners’ needs and expectations.

The online component includes a combination of interactive courses. Teachers are expected to give technical support and facilitate learning through online activities to the Malaysian teachers, engage online participation of the teachers, assess participants’ coursework, provide regular interaction with Malaysian teachers via forum, e-mails, portal, liaise with the trainer on teachers’ participation and progress as well as provide timely feedback to trainers and teachers.

E-moderators will be based in flexible locations, but will need to offer flexibility of time, especially those based in different time zones. They must be able to demonstrate good time management as they are expected to reply and respond to emails within the given timeframe, to participate in forum discussions in a timely manner.

An initial training will be provided to all e-moderators. Close collaboration between e-moderators and trainers is required.

Essential Criteria (to apply for the positions you MUST meet the client’s following requirements):

- Native English speaker

- Hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree

- In class TEFL qualification (preferably MA in TESOL/CELTA/Trinity TESOL)

- Hold an online training/e-moderation qualification (candidates with prior experience of online training who do not hold a certificate will be assisted in obtaining certification)

- At least 5 years’ relevant teaching/training experience

- Possess good IT and time management skills

Package:

- 12 month contract
