Teacher to begin 15 September in Nikopol, Ukraine

An open minded person wishing to explore new parts or the world and is able to deal with the difficulties of living in a developing foreign nation.

About the position:

Business English teacher for private company. 20-25 hours teaching per week. No teaching on weekends to give you an opportunity to explore the country and get to know the people or possibly study Russian or Ukrainian. Lessons will be conducted on the premises of the company. Groups consist of a minimum of 1 student and a maximum of 8 students.

Teacher is responsible for guiding students through the program, giving homework, providing instruction, and testing of the students. The results are then reported to the company. There will also be one lesson per week at a local school to have a speaking class with teenagers, providing them an opportunity to practice their language. The company provides these lessons to the local school as a way to support the community.

Qualifications:

A university degree.

A Celta or TEFL (or a relevant degree)

Experience in teaching programs and gaining results

Be able to explain grammar

charisma and ability to think quickly.

Costs:

The economy in Ukraine is not in a very strong position. The currency grows weaker every month. Items and services are extremely cheap in the country. A bottle of water is about 50 cents. Bread 60 cents. Dinner in a good restaurant about 6 dollars. Travel to Kiev by train 20 dollars. Kiev is about 5 hours away by train

What we offer:

9 month contract, can be renewed.

Salary 20,000 hrivna. This is currently just over 1500 dollars per month

Free private apartment with wifi

Visa

Reimbursement for flight up to 500$ at the end of the contract.
