Walk to work on the edge of Moscow - ESL and teachers of other languages, including German, needed

At International Educational Centre, we provide a quality language learning experience for students of all ages, levels and abilities, through the competence and professionalism of our teaching and administrative staff.

We are now recruiting for the 2015/16 academic year. We have openings at our branches in Dzerzhinsky, Zheleznodorozhny and Malakhovka, all of which are located about 30 minutes from Moscow proper. There are also opportunities to work in Russian state schools.

Successful applicants will:

• be a NATIVE SPEAKER OF ENGLISH

• have a university degree

• have a recognised teaching qualification (CELTA, TESOL, TEFL etc.)

• be enthusiastic about teaching and living in Russia

• be open to teaching all ages and levels, from VYLs to adults

• be able to arrive in Moscow by August 16th for a 2-week training/orientation program

We are also interested in hearing from native-speaking English teachers who can teach Mandarin, Spanish, French, German and/or Italian, and teachers with experience in FCE/CAE/IELTS exam preparation.

Benefits:

• a stable salary, linked to the dollar exchange rate and ranging from 40,000 – 62,000 rubles/month after tax, with no subtractions for rent etc

• A comfortable flat (with Internet) PAID FOR BY THE SCHOOL (within walking distance of the school, shared with another teacher but with private bedroom. Both rent and bills (excluding Internet) paid for by the school)

• 9 or 12 month contract

• Contract completion bonus of one month’s salary

• 30 academic hours per week (1 academic hour = 45 minutes) with 2 days off

• 4 hours per week for extra activities such as placement testing, discussion clubs and student quests/games nights etc.

• 25 calendar days of paid holidays and paid Russian national holidays

• Flights, multiple-entry work visa, health insurance and registration all paid for by the school (as per the contract)

• An additional 10,000 ruble ‘training bonus’ paid upon contract completion (for the August training/orientation period)

• Social events for teachers, including free excursions and events arranged for national and international holidays

• Free airport transfers

• Weekly Russian lessons for teachers, with the school covering 50% of the cost

• Mobile phone provided for personal use (calls paid for by the teacher)

• 24-hour help in case of emergency

• A friendly, supportive work environment with a range of resources
