6 EFL Teachers Needed in Arequipa

Extreme Learning Center, located in Arequipa, Peru has a great opportunity for SIX EFL teachers ready to make a difference in the lives of their students, while enjoying beautiful and magical Peru. ELC is hiring 6 teachers for April 1st. You must be in Arequipa, Peru for orientation and training by March 31st. Our institute uses an eclectic approach, focusing on student-centered lessons (5 to 15 students per group), high student interaction with high STT. We provide our teachers with all the materials, teacher guides and monthly training. ELC Peru is a well-established language and cultural center, with over 9 years in Arequipa and serving nearly 700 daily students of English.

Because Peru is a developing nation, our students do not pay a lot for courses, thus we can't offer airfare or housing. We offer the best local salaries (about $5 per hour, which is 4 times Peruvian minimum wage), airport pickup, assistance looking for housing and orientation training. Our teachers have no problem living in Arequipa on their salaries. Minimum 4 month commitment, but 6 months preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Native English speaker with at least a Bachelor's degree in any profession, a 120 hour on-site TEFL/TESOL/CELTA course with at least 10 hours of observed student teaching practice, be a flexible team player who truly enjoys new challenges and have the ability to adapt and live in a new culture.

NOTE: We only accept online TEFL/TESOL certificates if they included an observed student teaching practice and the program is properly accredited.
