English Literature and Language Teachers Needed

ACI School based in Istanbul is seeking English Literature and Language teachers for the 2015-2016 academic year.

ACI School is co-educational private school, from pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. Our current enrollment is just over 1900 students. We have a dynamic teaching staff and access to the latest educational supplies and equipment. ACI School is a private Turkish school with a very advanced English program. Our school is dedicated to encouraging each individual to achieve their best. High school is CIS accredited and an authorized CIE center. We teach IGCSE, AP, IELTS and SAT English courses at different levels. We are also planning to open a high school prep class next year.

ACI School is located in a central area of Istanbul, Turkey. Istanbul is a modern and progressive city, which has a vibrant social environment rich in culture and history. It is a bridge between Europe and Asia. 

We are currently recruiting for two full time high school teachers.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The successful language and literature candidate will need to:

have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

show genuine interest and passion for working with young adults

have knowledge and experience of teaching English to zero beginners or false beginners in language

be able to work with ipads in teaching

be enthusiastic about teaching and able to demonstrate a genuine care for students

plan, develop, and teach programs that cater for the needs of each student

be able to maintain open communications with work colleagues in building and maintaining a supportive and encouraging team environment

keep abreast of educational development

keep accurate and updated ongoing records and prepare reports

undertake administrative tasks as required

have experience in teaching AP English and/or IGCSE Literature and /or IGCSE Language and/or IB Literature

have experience in teaching SAT (if possible)

Requirements:

According to Turkish Ministry of Education, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, a teaching certificate and be native in English Language.
