Wall Street English is looking for experienced, outgoing English teachers who can inspire our adult students to learn while ensuring they have a great time doing so.

Centers are located in the capital city of Jakarta. We currently have 6 successful centers, the first of which was opened in February 2007. Centers are located in trendy areas surrounded by cafes, wine bars, fitness centers and great shops.

The Students

Students are typically 20 to 35 years old professionals, well educated and from a wide variety of backgrounds. They are motivated to learn English and recognise it as a skill essential for their career development. Levels range from beginner right through to advanced and all students are clearly placement tested to ensure they are studying alongside students of the same abilities.

The Courses

Standard Classes

Class sizes are kept small, to an average of 3 students per class, which helps ensure real progress is made by all and allows for easy classroom management.

Lessons are made up of a variety of teaching materials and are designed to be engaging and communicative. Teachers guide students through both controlled practice and authentic conversation activities. All the lesson materials are already in place, so minimal lesson planning is required.

Social Club

Teachers also run sessions with more of a social focus, designed to further give students the opportunity to use their language in a natural setting, while having fun at the same time. Topics are limited only by your imagination and can be anything from baking cookies to speed dating.

Professional Development

You will not only be teaching, but also developing your own skill sets and competencies. Teacher training and support is central to our company culture and through workshops, seminars and class observations you will be constantly expanding the teaching methods at your disposal. Time is devoted to idea and experience sharing so you always have fresh ideas to work with.

Jakarta - The City

Indonesia is a wonderful blend of people, cultures and ethnicities with a population of over 245 million, the fourth largest in the world. Located in South East Asia, Indonesia is a collection of 16,000 islands spread along equator with Australia to the south and Singapore and Vietnam to the north. Enjoy a pleasant climate ranging from 16 ®C 35 degrees throughout the year with two distinct seasons.

The capital city of Jakarta on the main island of Java is a hub of activity appealing to a diverse range of interests and lifestyles. Experience a mix of chic shopping malls and trendy bars alongside traditional food stalls and backstreet markets. The weather in Jakarta is hot and humid all year round. The average temperature is from 24 to 32°„C. The raining season is in January.

Outside of the capital Indonesia boasts some of the most break-taking natural beauty on the planet with endless possibilities for adventure and exploration, from the pristine beaches of Bali to the jungle treks in Bukit Lawang and much more.

Requirements
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand
o Bachelor's degree in an English related subject (Education, TEFL, Linguistics or Literature)
o TEFL certificate
o At least 2 years of teaching experience
o Outgoing, social personality

Main Responsibilities
o Teach a variety of English classes to a range of abilities
o Use your creative skills to develop social clubs and other events
o Ensure students learn in an engaging manner

Compensation
o Excellent salary: 15 ®C 18 million Rupiah (approx 1,200 ®C 1,450 USD) per month
o 16 days holidays + 15 days public holidays
o Flight allowance up to 1,000 USD (paid after 90 days)
o Contract renewal: 800 USD
o Contract completion bonus equal to 1 months°Ø salary
