Kindergarten Teacher Needed in Indonesia - $1,800 - 4,000 per month, housing, free schooling + excellent additional benefits
We require an Early Years (Kindergarten) Teacher for this international school in Jakarta. They are IB Accredited and provide classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School.
The school has a partnership agreement with the Beijing University and close contacts with the embassies of the UK, Canada and the USA. The institute embraces Asian tradition & culture whilst being strongly committed to prepare children for a global multi-cultural society.
It is located in central Jakarta and caters for nursery (2 yrs of age) up to grade 5 and there is an immediate plan for expansion. The city campus is a modern facility complete with pool, gymnasium, computer labs and learning kitchen, providing an excellent IB learning space and convenience for busy professionals to drop or visit their young children.
• The teacher must possess a recognized qualification in early childhood education,
child development or other related fields.

the ‘Practice Guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage’.
• Develop and maintain a trusting, cooperative and collaborative working
relationship with all teachers
• Be open-minded and understanding of the different cultural perspectives
• Be a willing participant and contributor as part of the EY team and the wider school
• Be alert to and understanding of health and safety matters
• Be punctual and well prepared at the beginning of each day
Implementation of the Daily Learning Programme
- Understand and incorporate the vision to nurture the dispositions for a life-long
- Create a responsive and caring classroom learning environment with intentional
learning centres for young children
- Based on children’s interests, plan, implement, document and evaluate developmentally appropriate daily learning opportunities and experiences both indoors and outdoors
- Prepare and organize materials and resources for learning
- Observe the strengths and concerns of individual children which inform the planning of appropriate opportunities for development and learning.
- Help children to understand daily schedule and routines
- Help children to understand the behaviour expectations in the learning environment both indoors and outdoors
- Be flexible and responsive to children’s emerging interests
- Provide positive guidance of the behaviour of individual children
- Encourage independence and self-help skills
- Make families feel welcome
- Be able to explain the different aspects of the programme with families
- Establish a rapport with parents and families
- Ensure information is gained from parents about a child’s development and interests
- Include the expertise of parents and families, which include their cultural beliefs,
practices and professional knowledge etc. to support the children’s learning
- Be resourceful and supportive to parenting issues when appropriate

Full expatriate package available, 2-year contract, yearly airfare per teacher, medical insurance, assigned housing, Mac laptop, shipping allowance and all visa/work permit arrangements. One child free tuition. The salary depends on the qualifications and experience but the range would be $1,800 - 4,000 per month.
Please note the school has stipulated a native speaker for English for this role.
