Assistant Language Teacher (ALT- English Teacher) Needed in Ota, Gunma

Fifth Wings is now recruiting an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT), preferably with previous experience as an ALT (English Teacher) to work in the Ota - GUNMA area for the school year April 2015 - March 2016 with a chance to renew for an additional year at the end of the contract.

Applicants should be in Japan already or able to come to Japan ASAP. Female applicants encouraged to apply due to teaching the little kids.

POSITION: ALT (English Teacher)

*** APPLICANTS MUST BE A NATIVE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES. Canada, The UK, Australia, New Zealand, USA or from a country of which the first language is English or that lists English amonst its official languages and must have a command of English equivalent to that of a native speaker.

CONTRACT PERIOD: Start April 2015 and ends March 2016.

SALARY: ¥230,000 / month (Tuesday - Saturday) - ¥240,000 / month (M- S)

Salary to be paid on the 10th of each month. Sundays & Mondays Off

RESIDENCE: Accommodation will be found for the applicant. No key money, modern tidy apartment. Teacher pays monthly rent of ¥52000 - ¥55,000 plus utilities, gas and power.

FURNITURE: washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, and futon provided.

WORKING HOURS: The Schedule will vary during the week so please be flexible and openminded. Classes range between 45 minutes – 50 minutes (including 10 minutes break between each class).

TYPE OF WORK: Teach English to kindergarten kids, elementary school kids and adults. Experience with children is essential. Ability to relate to and have fun with children. Participate in and assist with extra-curricular activities. Assist with other duties specified by the supervisor or the school principal at your workplace. You will enrich the lives of children by sharing your knowledge of English and communication skills and giving insights into other cultures. Your job would be two-fold: language instructor and cultural ambassador. These two aspects are inseparable, and you, as a successful ALT - English Teacher, will become an expert in both. You can expect to teach classes on your own, with a Japanese teacher present to help manage the classroom.

REQUIRED BA/BS: TESL/TEFL/CELTA or teaching certification. Applicants must be of sound mental and physical health. Applicants must not have a criminal record.

VISA: Full sponsorship available to applicant.

HOLIDAYS: All Japanese Calendar holidays are paid. There is a break in summer and a break in winter which is paid.
