ESL/EFL Teaching Positions in Chiba

CHIBA, JAPAN: One full-time ESL/EFL instructor needed starting from the middle of January, 2015 to teach English communication skills to all ages at a private language school, Top Eikaiwa School in Chiba (Chiba Prefecture), a city of nearly ninety hundred sixty thousand in Honshu near Tokyo. Mostly small classes, but bigger university classes, too. Must enjoy working with children. University graduate with TEFL/TESL experience preferred. One-year contract (two-year contract renewable).

JOB DUTIES: Up to 8 hours of teaching, curriculum and materials development, meetings, and workshops per day (Up to 7 teaching hours per day), five days a week.

SALARY: 265,000~275,000 yen/month for first year of contract. 2,500 yen/hour for over time.

PAID VACATION TIME: In addition to Japanese national holidays (except a few days a year), 9 days in August, 14 days at Christmas/New Years, 15 days in other time all with full pay.

OTHER BENEFITS: Special allowance, 50,000 yen for settlement of new life in Japan will be paid for one-year contract. Finishing bonus, 10,000 yen will be paid upon completion of one-year contract, 20,000 yen will be paid upon completion of two-year contract, and 30,000 yen will be paid upon completion of three-year contract. Apartment provided (Teacher pays monthly payment about 55,000~65,000 yen) and utility bills, and also a lease fee of 4,000 yen per month for the furnishings.) The school will pay the initial deposits. Two branches of the school and main school locate only one minute on foot from the train station. Chiba city is closer to beautiful beaches, Tokyo, and Narita Airport. The owner of this school is a good educator in Chiba area for a long time.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Applicants must live in US or Canada, especially Washington and Oregon States or Vancouver BC area to be able to have personal interviews or Skype interviews might be available. A couple is welcome. Applicants must have a passion for teaching English, especially teaching small children, and willingness to grow as a teacher. Must be a Native English speaker.
