INTERNATIONAL STUDENT RECRUITMENT OFFICER INTERN-SHIP, LIVERPOOL, UK

This posting represents a full-time intern-ship position effective from January 5th, 2015.

Scope:

Reporting to the manager, the incumbent provides information and advice to potential students and participates in the development, planning, and preparation of recruitment and liaison strategies.

Primary responsibilities:

Active involvement in the development, planning, preparation and undertaking of established LEC recruitment strategies.

Raise LEC’s profile by participating in off-campus recruitment activities. Assist with on-campus Advisor/ Open House sessions and special tours for specific or large groups.

Work in collaboration with the management to make suggestions on improvements to the recruitment process and identify new opportunities and markets.

Lead an international recruitment project portfolio as assigned.

Develop marketing material publications and communications to ensure LEC is reflective of prospective student information needs.

Engage with international education consultants via social media.

Perform other duties in support of the operation of the unit.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and work experience in student recruitment, public relations or sales & marketing. A masters degree is a plus.

Good spoken and written English, addtional languages spoken are a plus, in order to inform and advise students and to communicate effectively with internal and external clients and to assist in the development of promotional material.

Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Photo Shop.

Excellent interpersonal, relation-building, and communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, faculty, and external contacts and to assist in giving presentations to groups of potential students and institutional clients.

Aptitude to work in a service-oriented environment as both a member of a team and independently.

Ability to work under pressure, to prioritize work, and to meet deadlines.

Motivated and hungry to learn and earn.

Salary:

This is a very generous commission based position.
