The British Council Middle East and North Africa (MENA) are expanding its teaching operations and are looking for Senior Teachers and Teachers to work in our vibrant teaching centres in Doha, Agouza, Heliopolis and Rabat.
British Council MENA has been teaching English in the region since over 75 years and support teachers and learners with comprehensive and innovative learning resources. We work with governments, institutions, teachers and learners to provide English language learning and teaching solutions that create life-changing opportunities for individuals and their future prosperity.
British Council operates in 17 countries across MENA. In 2013-14, we reached approximately 76,000 students through 20 Teaching Centres across 12 countries. In total, approximately 500 qualified teachers of varied backgrounds work at the British Council MENA.
In the region, we continue to expand our English teaching services and delivery of UK based qualifications. The demand for English continues to grow in the region, with more and more young people seeking to improve their English in order to access better jobs and educational opportunities. By 2020, the demand of English language is projected to grow by 54%.
