Position : EFL Lecturers

Dammam Community College (an affiliate of KFUPM) is an established tertiary English-medium institution catering to the needs of male students who will progress to associate degrees in Accounting, Computer Information Technology, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Safety Technology and Supply Chain Management. The college offers an Orientation English Program (OEP), which is part of the Preparatory Year Program and a College English Program.

The College is interested in recruiting well-qualified, committed and experienced teachers of EFL/ESL/EAP for both programs. Orientation teachers will teach in a well-established, structured 20-hour-per-week pre-university intensive course in English. College teachers will teach 12 hour per week courses.

Applicants are invited to apply at any time, but the main recruiting periods are for semesters beginning in September and February each year. Applicants must be male graduates from an Anglophonic university.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

A first degree with an MA in TEFL/TESOL or Applied Linguistics or a one-year, full-time postgraduate diploma in TEFL/TESL from an accredited university is preferred. More basic postgraduate qualifications in TESOL (e.g. RSA/UCLES DELTA or Dip TEFLA) can also be considered for candidates with appropriate experience. A minimum of a bachelor degree and CELTA+2years overseas experience is also acceptable. Must be a native English speaker.

Experience:

At least two years’ full-time teaching of EFL/ESL/EAP is highly preferred.

These positions are full-time two-year renewable contracts with competitive tax free salary based on qualifications and experience, free furnished air-conditioned on-campus housing unit with free essential utilities and maintenance or housing allowance. Subject to University policy, the appointment includes the following additional benefits: Air ticket/s to Dammam on appointment; annual repatriation air ticket/s for the faculty and up to three of his dependents; tuition fees for school-age dependent children enrolled in local schools; local transportation allowance; Two months’ paid summer vacation, end-of service benefits, and free access to recreation facilities. KFUPM campus has a range of facilities including medical & dental clinic, teaching and research support facilities such as an extensive library acquisitions and library databases, computing facilities, smart classrooms, and research and teaching laboratories. The campus is within a very short distance from the cities of Dammam and Al-Khobar.
